To simplify it, so you have 4 A team for it?
Is this the same as the last one?
The coming crystal tower consist of 3 difficulty 220 dungeon and a ??? difficulty dungeon. Clearing them will get you 4 types 6* crystals and you get 3 of each. You can clear them 1 by 1 by using 1 A team to get all the crystal. However, the CID mission rewards are 5* mote. The requirements of the cid mission is as long as you do not exit the crystal tower and get all 4 level clear you will get 30 5* mote as cid mission reward. The RW that you can use is Mog’s wall. That is why you need 4 A team. I am not a cid mission guy but 5* mote is much more valuable than 5* orb so I will do the Cid mission in the crystal tower. I remembered the first one is relatively easy but the 2nd one is not a cake walk.
Thank you for the explaination. That being said I have 4+ A teams ready to go!
Squall: Cloud, Shelke, Zack, Some Hastega Guy, Relm
Scylla: Luneth, Refia, Ramza, OK, Arc
Adamantoise: Orlandu, Reno, Reks, Gordon, Vanille
Adel: Bartz, Dorgann, Alphinaud, Edward, Eiko
You could say I am.
Thanks for the explanation! What is the Mog Wall? Like Dr. Mog? Is it the same as SG? Still only 2 uses?
Yes. Wall from Dr. Mog. I believe it last for 30 sec like magicite.
Is it still the standard 2 uses total. Or do we get two uses per battle or what?
It is 2 use per battle. It is a separate battle but you cannot reuse the same character unless you exit the tower. So you can craft 1 protectga to use in four stage and you will get all 6 uses each time. You can reuse your only 6++ sword on fore stage with different characters. You cannnot use Tyro, for example, in more than one stage unless you exit the tower. Using 4 team is the gimmick in crystal tower.
Gotcha, thanks for the explanation. It would be interesting if it locked your gear too
Looks to me like, with D220 content (so a little harder than average torment) you'd therefore need four (5?) of each of the following: solid Hastega, solid buff, solid DPS (possibly different elements?), solid medica.
Yikes, that's almost whale-only! For my part, I have:
Hastega - Ramza, Edge, Mog, Reks, Serah
Buff - Ramza, Rapha, Cid, Edward, Red XIII
DPS - Cloud, Terra, Lightning, Cid, Auron
Medica - Vanille, Yuna, Eiko, Larsa, Sarah
Whew, okay...bring it on, CM! :Chrono:
I admire you
Definitely keep in mind that you can mage some and phys some which spreads out resources a lot. I've CM'd nearly all the torments, at least one the D200, if you can do that I'm sure you can do this!
The best possible outcome is finishing all four with a different team. If you have difficulty doing all 4, you can do 3 or even 2 to get part of the cid mission reward. At worst you can do 1 and exit to get those crystal. Also you can enter the tower, go to all 4 stage and take a look at the boss first before you set your team. You do not want to waste your Lighting on stage 1 while the stage 3 boss is weak to lighting. Form my experience, last stage is the hardest, follow by stage 1. If you think completing all 4 stage will be a challenge, at least try stage 2 and then stage 3 before you exit.
I never played crystal tower, is something like 4 stages, stage 1-3 is D220, stage 4 is D300.
The thing is friend's RW is disable so no more RW cloud EX here.
The 2nd thing is gear synergy is disable too.
Only realm character synergy is still available here.
So what's the strategy for this CM crystal tower.
I would recommend 1st check your native trinity, check how many hastega ( for physical & faithga ) and medica you have now, list out of them is easy for you arrange.
2nd save the best for the last, we know the last stage will be the tough, so should plan the last party at the beginning, always give the best suitable dps( weakness or highest damage ), best hastega according to physical or mage team and strongest medica.
3rd, this is not magicite so break is still working here, you can arrange few breaker split them to different party to do the mitigation job as well.
4th, like magicite, always go for weakness, as you can see, when you split all your mitigation like break or buff, your A team might not as strong as you use to be, you might not able to do stackable faithga.
I think that's how to face this crystal tower, this is just theory, maybe when come to actual have to think more like battery, magicite involve, accessories to prepare or native last stand or astra is important for some particular situation.
It’s a 26s Wall. So essentially one second longer than SG/SS2...
Crystal Tower is just the next set of content that favours whaling. Torment (where BSBs ruled), Magicite (elemental coverage) led the way, and CT now introduces yet another reason to go for quantity besides just quality.
Fielding four A-Teams strong enough to take on A+ bosses won’t be an issue for whales, but for many newer players especially, it will be a challenge. The CM rewards are quite well structured actually, 5* notes are good rewards for players who can clear them easily. And not too essential if you’re a newer player who can’t tackle them yet.
For me, I’m just happy I can bring Faris and Setzer along.
PSA: except Squall, he's completely immune to breaks in this one, and all his attacks ignore def/res execpt for his basic "attack". Fortunately he's vulnerable to all elements, so just element dps him down as quick as possible, much like a magicite battle... in fact your fastest magicite clear team might be a viable option to consider.
Tell that to someone who couldn't sub 30 any magicite yet (me... :stoned Rydia
I'm ready. Bring it!
And when does this come around?
