I just realized that the "hall of fame" screen reads Flight... is that right or a typo?
If anyone is still struggling with Adel, you can try bringing along "renewing cure", heals Riona for 3k per tick, which can add up a lot. Also if you have Selphie BSB, she is one of the rare ones where command 1 can target enemies. It also carries high regen, healing Riona for 5k per tick.
Does this event return?
Same format yes, but not with the same dungeons.
We get a new set of 4 bosses every month I believe. The next one is in a few days: link to reddit thread.
The second one is expected to drop on 9 Dec. These should come out every month or so.
Old school CM-Style clear.
Almost wanted to LD Cloud after failing the first time round with Ultimate Weapon. But luckily switching some equipment and abilities around was enough to get the win. Motes saved!
It's hard to determine, according to the individual, I think it's wrong
oh God, this CT is harder than the last one: Diamond Weapon is really a bit*h
Pretty easy. I didn't do CM style with IV and FFT. The idea of suffering through Mateus without Astra sounded like torture, and Barbarissia was killing my party in the final 10% because dps couldn't win before wall
Agreed, FF7 weapon was easy except for the bull$h!t 3 turn mechanic game over. I had to intentionally slow down DPS to take up more HP in early turns.
This was harder than last time indeed. But then again, YMMV depending on your relics.
I'll go in order I did them (* indicates full legend dive):
Diamond weapon: tried it with Cloud keeper / physical team, got crushed (starts charging attack at 96% hp), I wasn't fast enough.
Mog: dances, BSB
Vanille (*): Curada, Shellga, BSB
Fujin: Wrath, Protectga, BSB
Raines (*): Wrath, MM, BSB
Terra: Wrath, Meltdown, USB
Yojimbo: easiest of them all, once you know not to leave anyone in back row and bring a tauntaliator
Ramza: Breaks, Shout
Tuna: Protectga, Curada, USB
Tidus (*): LS, Sapphire Shot, CSB + LMR
Bartz (*): LS, Engulfind QS, USB
Gilgamesh: Divine Cross, LS, BSB
Barbaricca: had a couple of S/L. I was way too slow, and 2 native walls were not enough
Aplhinaud: Protectga, Dispel, BSB
Y'sthola (*): Curada, Shellga, BSB
Cid VII: Lightning Jump, Lightning Dive, BSB (only used once at the end)
OK: Wrath, BSB
Golbez: Dark Zone, BSB
Mateus: couple of S/L before I found the right combination of skills/RM order. Forgot to give the team KO resist, but i just healed through it twice
Tyro: Dances, USB1 (astra)
Larsa: Protectga, Wrath, BSB (astra)
Aplhinaud: Shellga, Curada, SSB (faithga+radiant shield)
Krile: Chain Firaga, Ultima Weapon, Baaaaa SSB
Marach: MM, DZ, BSB
Finally managed to destroy that weapon: I hate this kind of fight but at least it's something different.
Rinoa (full dived): meltdown and chain stonega, RM: deal much more earth damage, SBs: Unique enearth and OSB;
Tellah: Protectga and curaja, RM: MM, SB: Sage's Sagacity;
Shelke: Wrath and Entrust, RM: knight's charge.
Aphmau: Shellga and Ultra Cure, RM: DM's teachings, SB: Realignment.
Vaan: Lifesiphon and Mental breakdown, RM: Ace Striker, SBs: Ark Blast and OSB.
Magicite: Shell Dragon as main and Sand Worm as sub.
Except for Vaan, it's basically a magicite strategy.
The other fights weren't much trouble: I'll have to redo Barby cause I put Agrias in the front row and I lost too much damage for medal conditions (I forgot her bsb entry is ranged lol)
1st Flight : Barbariccia
2nd Flight : Yojimbo
3rd Flight : Mateus
4th Flight : Diamond Weapon
Diamond Weapon: Where did YOU learn to be an asshole!? >.<
Diamond Weapon is being a jerk. The others were super easy. The problem is that I took my FFT Knight Team on Maetus, so Ramza can't do Diamond Weapon.
Excuse me, I want to say to all my fellow keepers forehand that I'm sorry for what I'm about to say about Barbariccia as it contains harsh language, so for that I'll put it under spoilers for those who want to read it.
............. that FUCKING BITCH!!!!
I honestly can't believe in all the time I spent trying to master this stage. That cunt made me change my party several times, try lots of strategies, which is frustrating but ok, it's part of the game, but damn, I had to clear her THREE FUCKING TIMES because I couldn't do it fast enough on the first two! If you choose front row she reduces your HP to 1 and you lose points for damage taken, if you choose back row she stops your whole party and makes you waste precious time. Not to mention you need to squeeze in a dragoon in your party which often doesn't include one! And those fucking Rays...
Seriously, FUCK BARBARICCIA!!
Diamond Weapon was a little easier than Barbariccia. I had to S/L only two times. I brought my only party that could do a sub-30 magicite: my water team, slightly modified.
I took off Rikku and put Selphie for more healing and specially for Last Stand. It was crucial because he used his ultimate attack and I would be done if it wasn't for Last Stand. Luckily it gave me breathing room to finish him. And this is my ugly hall of fame, again with a "failure" on the first stage...
That CM SUCKED. Went in reverse order and didn't get mastery on Yojimbo and Barbariccia. Very happy to be done with that. Not happy I have to go back and master two.
Ugh, you went with a physical team for Barbaricca :S Condolences. I wnet magic with an extra dragon just to knock her out. I had very slow damage, where I needed native wall but surprisingly still didn't lose action medals.
I did it because I got scared of the "counters white and black magic with Maelstrom" stuff but I ended up doing the same as you to get the mastery
Same here, even though I went mage in her event form.
Yeah, I hear you. But to be honest with the wealth of instant KO resist accessories we have now, I don't mind gravity based counters anymore, they VERY rarely hit (unless they are auto-hit, which this wasn't).
