The description of flashing blade is that it has two attacks that always hits. However after using it on the red soul and having it miss several times I think the description needs a change or the ability updated. Has anyone else noticed?
I was trying to beat it down with pound and lifesyphon as I have no magical relics for FF2. But to no avail.

Red soul and ogre mages have ultimate blink III, and they can evade physical attacks with 30% (or 70%, I don't remember which one is) of probability. So even lsiphon can miss.

Have you tried flashing blade on a different enemy?

Has something changed with this fight? It's been a good while but I recall using Firion Flashing Blade with Runic rw to stomp this trio for mote cm because it couldn't miss.

In fact, even SBs can miss as my poor Faris was surprised to find when casting her BSB.

Ah I understand now. That makes more sense. Thanks for clearing that up!
